Stress Affects Your Body More Than You Know

Dec 1, 2020 10:30:00 AM / by Doc Harmony

Just recently, I fell down a flight of stairs and injured myself (no broken hips, thankfully). However, what I did not realize was how much the fall and the injuries were affecting my stress levels and my blood pressure!

Untitled design (47)About 4 weeks after the injury, I physically felt better but started developing migraines (which I have never had). I was upset because I have been going to the chiropractor 3 times a week, I was using my herbal/homeopathic creams and lotions, getting more rest than normal, and I felt ‘calm’.

One day I took my blood pressure because my head was ‘killing me’. It was 174/104! I was shocked and could not understand what was happening. I begrudgingly took myself to the ER and had a CT scan, which came back normal. The doctor implied that due to my stress and pain levels that my blood pressure was high. He did not even recommend anything for it … which was good as I probably would not have even filled the prescription!

I immediately changed my diet from Keto to vegetarian, ordered items like Red Yeast Extract and Liposomal Curcumin and increased items like my turmeric and hawthorn berry that I take daily.   But what I believe helped me the most was Kratom! Due to the pain, Robert Scott Bell referred me to: www.mybravebotanicals.com

When I arrived at this website, the first words I read is: Kratom: The Plant Remedy Big Pharm Doesn’t Want You To Try. Now, I am definitely intrigued! I read the site, went and reviewed other sites and reviews, of course and then took Brave Botanicals up on their offer to send a FREE ounce of Kratom! As well, due to my research for pain I ordered their 4 pack sampler.

When my Kratom arrived, my migraine was at a high level of pain. I immediately stopped what I was doing and measured out 1/3 of a gram. I mixed this with water, lime and sweet leaf’s peach mango stevia … Yummy! Within minutes, my migraine went to a headache and in very short order, I did not have a headache at all!!!

I continued using the Red Relaxation at night with Green Maeng Da (.5 gram each) and during the day I did/still do, 2 doses of White Lightning (1 gram). Within a week my blood pressure was back to normal, my migraine/headaches were gone and, as an interesting side effect, I had stopped drinking alcohol naturally!

Untitled design (48)What is most interesting about my experience with Kratom is that I did not have to do anything, Kratom did it all! As well, there were no side effects from Kratom … I did not even ‘feel it working’. There was no fuzziness, no jitters, nothing but low stress! I have felt extremely calm since using.

To top it off, my partner has been under a lot of stress lately and his blood pressure was high as well. He asked one day if he could try some of my ‘dirt’ (lol). But of course! He has been using ever since and his blood pressure has dropped and he is no longer in the High Blood Pressure warning area and getting closer and closer to just prehypertension!

So, as you can see, ‘stress’ has really been on my mind! So got to thinking about the many ways that stress can affect me and you. It is incredibly overwhelming when one discovers that stress really is a “killer”

Untitled design (49)Stress shows up in our lives as an emotional or physical tension. Events or thoughts in our lives create feelings of frustration, anger or nervousness.

Especially during this COVID 19 pandemic, it is vital to your overall wellbeing and health longevity to reduce every day stresses in your life. Doing so helps your mood, immune functions, enhances longevity and kicks up your productivity. Stress is a natural response within your brain and as result of these responses has a powerful impact on your body.

A lot of people do not realize that most of your negative health symptoms are a result of stress. Stress symptoms and illness are remarkably similar. 75 percent to 90 percent of all doctors’ office visits are related to conditions caused by stress (1) because stress changes our hormones which has a tumble down affect, increasing inflammation and leading to many other health problems.

Stress causes the brain to change chemically and physically and this affects its overall functioning. The higher our stress levels, neurotransmitters dopamine, epinephrine and norepinephrine rise, which causes more adrenaline, for example, to be released by the adrenal glands. These “fight or flight” hormones have an effect on our hearts, immune system and emotional wellbeing. It is not wise to leave stress unmanaged as it can lead to serious problems, like stomach ulcers, stroke, asthma, depression and heart disease.

The good news is: You can control your levels of stress.

We all have stress but what is important to recognize in our personal lives is how stress show up in it. If you have noticed any of the symptoms above, chances are you could improve your life by simple lifestyle changes. Here are some simple changes anyone could make immediately:

  • Move around and be active on a regular basis
  • Breath fresh air and get sunshine
  • Practice relaxation techniques: deep breathing, meditation, yoga, tai chi or massage
  • Laugh and enjoy life
  • Spend time with people you like and enjoy being around.
  • Do things that you actually like: read a book or listen to music
  • Eliminate drama from your life or at least do not participate in it.
  • Sleep
  • Eat better
  • Purchase the proper supplements for cardiovascular issues and to support the heart.
  • Use Magnesium lotion daily to support the body systems, in particular the heart and sugars.

Try one new thing above every week. Give yourself time to adjust to a new way of being. Know that you are not alone and that stress is a vital part of our lives. Sometimes stress can be good when we can manage it effectively. Let us know what works for you!
